Effiana Svarre
Program Coordinator
Effiana joined Normal Next at the beginning, as a member of Cohort 001. Since completing that first associateship, she has returned to Normal Next twice. First, as a Senior Associate, where she assisted in creating the curriculum for C/Corps and further programming, Then most recently, as a Program Coordinator, assisting in all aspects of the cohorts, including recruitment, programming, and facilitation.
Effiana has recently graduated from King’s College London with a BA in International Relations. She credits the skills she acquired at Normal Next with making the group projects at university much easier to get through.
Outside of her work at Normal Next, Effiana is a Program Associate at WeaveTales, an organization that uses storytelling to advocate for refugees. She has also participated in Team Enough, a youth-lobbying collective run by Brady: United Against Gun Violence, that teaches young leaders how to lobby state legislators for gun control legislation.
In the (near) future, she plans on applying for Master’s programs in International Affairs, where she hopes to specialize in Conflict and US national security with aspirations to work in the federal government.
