Saskia Fisher

Associate - Cohort 004

Saskia Fisher strives to connect communities to build a sustainable future for generations to come.

She aspires to work in the clean energy sector or within environmental politics to find solutions both for humankind and our surrounding ecosystems.
Fisher is a sophomore at Harvard University, pursuing a major in Environmental Science and Public Policy with a minor in Psychology. There she is part of Harvard Undergraduates for Environmental Justice, organizing events on and off campus to advocate for climate change solutions and justice. She’s also involved in the Green Orientation Initiative, planning a climate change crash course for incoming freshmen. Currently she is taking a semester off to work as an associate at Normal Next focused on Resiliency, EDI, and a new approach to civic engagement.

At The Island School she researched underwater systems, learned about the impact of tourism and development, and studied sustainable energy systems. With Climate Reality Corps, Fisher worked with struggling communities facing sea level rise and environmental injustice to identify equitable alternatives.

She also has worked with the Woodwell Climate Research Center in Woods Hole as an editorial intern and analyzed data for Tom Steyer’s 2020 Presidential Campaign, working with donors and organizing watch events.

She is communicative, easygoing, and open-minded, always curious to work on new things in equitable and sustainable ways. She scuba dives, plays tennis, and loves to hike in California’s beautiful forests. Her musical taste ranges from classic rock to EDM.
