Morgan Smith
Associate - Cohort 004
Morgan Smith strives to build dynamic teams and help people amplify their strengths.
At her best when managing multiple competing priorities, almost like a tightrope walker moving forward while also spinning a few plates, Smith makes whatever she’s doing look easy.
She is a senior at Bay Path University earning a bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She discovered her passion lies less in the laboratory and more within the changing field of public health. As an undergraduate, Smith enrolled in graduate-level courses through Bay Path’s Master of Public Health program and is working to figure out how society would best benefit from her skills and determination.
As a Normal Next associate, Smith works on ensuring public health community activists across the country have an opportunity to meet one another and collaborate together as part of the Robert Wood Johnson Culture of Health Leaders program.
In addition to her courses and Normal Next, Smith works as a Trainer in a FedEx overnight shipping warehouse. This experience has developed her capacity to advocate for herself and her team, manage others amid a varying workload and overcome unexpected obstacles, often when a more senior manager isn’t nearby. Those skills drew her into the role of primary trainer readying all new employees when a new warehouse location opened.
Outside of the school and the workplace, Smith enjoys hiking mountains, swimming in the ocean, collecting houseplants, and cooking.
